Homemade Kettle Corn

Posted on: January 28, 2010

Now say it with me….YUM!! And SO easy!

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup popping corn (I bought the orville redenbacker’s gourmet popping corn)
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Make sure you use a large pan with a lid. Heat the oil on medium heat for about a minute & then add the popping corn and the sugar mix well and then cover the pan.  In 1-2 minutes the kernels will start popping you need to keep lifting the pan off the heat and shaking it.  After about 5 minutes the kernels should be completely popped. Transfer to a large serving bowl and then add the salt and mix with a large spoon. ENJOY!
